Rules
Rules
The conduct and content rules that keep PledgeVault useful as a public accountability record.
Remember the person
Challenge claims, records, evidence, and public conduct without targeting people with harassment, abuse, threats, or hate. Do not use the service to coordinate intimidation or pile-ons.
Post authentically
Use PledgeVault to document real pledges and discuss them honestly. Do not impersonate people or organisations, fabricate sources, misrepresent evidence, manipulate votes, or coordinate spam.
Respect privacy
Do not publish private personal information, confidential details, or material that exists mainly to expose or endanger someone. Keep sources focused on public-interest pledge accountability.
Protect minors and vulnerable people
Do not post exploitative, sexual, abusive, or predatory content involving minors. Extra care is expected when discussing vulnerable people or private individuals drawn into public debate.
Keep records useful
Titles, summaries, timelines, sources, and proofs should help readers understand what was promised, who said it, when it changed, and how it is being assessed. Label uncertainty clearly instead of presenting speculation as fact.
Keep it legal
Do not use PledgeVault to post illegal content, solicit unlawful activity, sell prohibited goods or services, or share material that infringes rights you do not hold.
Do not interfere with the service
Do not interfere with normal operation, scrape aggressively, bypass access controls, exploit bugs, or use automation in a way that harms reliability or trust in the record.
Enforcement
Depending on context and severity, enforcement can include warnings, content edits or removals, loss of privileges, temporary posting bans, account restrictions, or permanent removal from the service.
